Let me tell you about Raven.
A small, black cat,whose spirit
was almost as famiiar to me as my own.
Whose only crime was that she enjoyed walks with me
and possibly that if she believed I was going to be hurt,
she would try to stop it, by jumping on you.
Perhaps it was also a problem that I am a Wiccan,
and her behavior was taken by some
as unusual and strange.
Now Raven loved to take a last stroll
in the evening before coming in to sleep.
A night came, when she didn't return
though I searched and called, she didn't come.
Thinking perhaps she was courting or simply off doing cat things
I finally went to bed, believing she would be home by morning.
When morning came I found my sweet friend,
but she was dead, hung from my clothesline pole
by those with little understanding and no tolerance
for any religion different from their own.
So in Raven's name & in her honour
I have created this award.
It cannot be applied for,(I'm sorry),
it can only be given
to those sites who foster understanding and tolerance,
those who seek to teach the truth.
However, the web is a huge place & I can't be everywhere
so if you know a site that should have this award,
